Category D, E

Native Range

Europe, Africa and Asia. S & E Spain and S France. Resident in west, south-west and eastern Africa and wintering parts of the Middle-East, southern Asia and India.

British Occurence

A ubiquitous bird in captivity but perfectly capable (potentially) of reaching Britain naturally from its European strongholds - but how to tell? The species is in category D because one day a wild bird may well be proven.
